The Spokane City Council is comprised of the Council President and six City Council members elected by districts with the Council President elected citywide. City Council members serve staggered four-year terms. The City Council meets every Monday evening at 6:00 p.m. The meetings are held in the Council Chambers located in the lower level of City Hall, at Spokane Falls Boulevard and Post Street. Prior to the legislative meeting, there is a briefing session at 3:30 p.m. where the agenda for the following week is reviewed.
